For the past two years, Payless Décor has donated window treatments to Habitat for Humanity’s Atlanta Women’s Build project. The program started 15 years ago when a group of women came together and built the first home for Atlanta Women’s Build. Ever since then, these homes have been built for women, by women. Hundreds of women in hard hats, including the future homeowner, come together to help build two neighboring houses from start to finish over eight weeks. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for women-led families to work toward owning an affordable home for themselves. The families are empowered by the process and it helps improve the lives of generations to come. We strongly support Habitat for Humanity and its Women Build project every year,” said Payless Décor CEO, Seth Roseman.

Women volunteers devote at least one day to help families build strength, stability, and independence through housing. The Atlanta Women’s Build benefits from corporations and donors to help fund or supply these projects. Last year, Payless Décor donated Privacy Décor Blinds that were used in bedrooms and bathrooms for the Clark Howard partnership with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.

Since 1996, Clark Howard has partnered with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity to build homes for families in need. The 2017 Clark Howard build had an additional three homes sponsored by Clark and two sponsored by Cox Communications, the owner of the station for which Clark broadcasts. On Saturday, February 25th, there was a dedication ceremony celebrating the completion of the Atlanta Women’s Build homes. The program makes a life-changing difference from women-led families and empowering all those involved. The next Atlanta Women’s Build project will be for eight Saturdays beginning September 22 through November 10, 2018.
